Purslowe Tinetti Funeral Homes was established in Northam in 1906 when James William Purslowe began conducting “dignified” funerals throughout the WA Wheatbelt. Family members expanded the company, opening branches in Perth over a period of four generations. In 1994, the Purslowe family sold the company to Service Corp International who then sold it to a public company called Invocare.

Rob and Diane Tinetti managed the Northam branch from 1993 under three different owners until October 2005 when they purchased it and rebranded it as Purslowe Tinetti Funerals. Thus, the funeral home is once again a local family owned business.

The Tinetti family have lived in Northam since 1985 and are heavily involved in helping their community thrive.

Rob Tinetti is a Shire Councillor, Avon Branch President of Nationals WA, past President of Northam Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and Northam Share & Care.

Dianne Tinetti is a member of The Bridgeley Community Centre’s Peer Review Group, Chamber of Commerce, Women in Business, past chair of ESP, past board member of C.Y O’Connor College of TAFE, and co-ordinator for a Biggest Morning Tea (Cancer Foundation) fundraising event in Northam for the past 20 years.

Tina Tinetti is a past president of the Northam Toy Library, current Secretary for the Avon Valley Show Jumping & Pony Club, Committee Member for Northam Women in Business and assists on co-ordinating a major fundraiser for Alzheimer’s WA, held annually in Northam.

The Tinetti family believe in supporting the community that supports them, and so sponsor many community groups in the Wheatbelt area.
